Finally Finished

The entrance ceiling, that is. The electrician was here earlier this week and now we can finally turn the lights on in the entrance when we get home. Here's a picture:

As you can see, we had one of the rows of downlights follow the line of the wall. It was a great decision because it really enhances what is unique about the room. And thank goodness we chose to add a dimmer to the installation. With 8 downlights on full beam it gets awfully light in such a small area. Anyways, we are really happy about this. :)

Quick update!

The renovation of our entrance in general, the lowering of the ceiling in particular, is going good. The electrician was here yesterday and today and prepared for the recessed downlights. I kind of think it looks like an alien :S ha! Here's a picture of the progress since last time:

Renovation update - the next project

The ceiling in the entrance. We're lowering it so as to make room for recessed downlights. It is going to be so nice! :) That's also what all the marks are for - how to place the lights.

After this comes walls. But one thing at a time, right? :)

Underestimated: Full length mirrors

Today when I got home from work, J had finished our entrance closet. (YAY! I now have a full length mirror again!) Here you can see the process from an empty space of uselessness to a perfect closet. Behind the entrance closet is our wardrobe. Talk about a change for the better! :)
