These are the brace pants that I got from my little sister yesterday. Ok, baby got them, alright! :) Anyways, today I matched them with a blue onesie and oh I'm in love! :) Maybe this is baby's going home outfit? Totally hooked! Ha!

That present

So here's what I gave to 2-month-old Alicia, daughter of a fav couple of mine and J's. I designed and made it myself (pretty basic stuff) and I'm really happy with the outcome! So glad I went to have it done at a proper print shop! I'm starting to think graphic design really is for me :) Imagine working with something one really loves and maybe even turn it into a business... :)

I spent some time this morning (oh, it's 2pm already?? ..so much for morning, huh.) finishing a gift for someone special. I'm so happy with how it turned out! Just going to snap a "sneak peak"-picture and soon I'll put it out on here on the blog. After giving it away, I'll show you the whole thing, obviously :)

Can't WAIT! :)

I ordered this book today and I just can't wait for it to arrive! Now I know what to spend this summer doing! :) It's a cookbook about edible goodies that are perfect as gifts. And I would expect amazing pictures and wrapping ideas, based on how absolutely gorgeous the writer's original blog is :) Linnéas Skafferi - the place to be. (Translates "Linnéa's Pantry")

my 25th

A few weeks ago I turned 25 and yesterday a bunch of lovelies took me out to celebrate... half'n half surprise, one might say :)

I got amazing gifts, bowls (matching what I've already got) + tablecloth from fav Bruka Design. Thank you girls so much! :) I feel spoiled and valued :) Gotta love a girl's night out... xoxo

Oh and "guide to Norrköping"... this is one of the best restaurants in the city.

the wedding gift

Guess who saved the present? (The shop assistant was clearly a fill-in during vacation times and the gift wrapping looked just like it...) I salvaged the beautiful paper and the string, re-wrapped it (in a correct manner), then added another string (pink lace-like one) and the white wooden heart on which I wrote the couple's intials and our names on the back. Turned out perfect, despite it all... :)

Last of June

This evening we went to the park and played beach volleyball. Well... I admit, those are my feet. I mostly sat on the side watching :) I did play a little though. While I didn't admire two of my favourite second hand bargains - the silver bracelets. The pearls were a gift from my sis-in-law. When we tired of watching the games, we went to an ice cream stand and had really good ice cream. There I spotted this nice vintage Volvo car. I'd like one of those :)

Then we went home to our place and watched Alice in Wonderland. Honestly, not so good. But a great night anyhow. :)

Last weekends festivities

Last weekend was all about party! :) On the Sunday, Sister's 22nd birthday + Mother's Day, and on the Saturday, my dear friend Elisabet's birthday party. Here's some of the pictures! First my little sister's birthday/Mother's Day. The whole family got together and gave her a laptop of her own. She was so so so pleased! :) ♥ I also wanted to give her something from just me and J, so we got her a bangle bracelet. We also had real good food, ovenbaked salmon, potatoes, creme fraiche sauce, peas and salad.

The Saturday offered, as mentioned, the celebration of a new 30-year old. Cake buffet with so many amazing cakes. Colour theme: Pink+turquoise. Such a great idea to cover the conuters with nice colourful gift wrapping paper! Note to self on that! :)

Today in pictures (+words, it seems...)

Essentially, a G R E A T day! Oh, and for 10 days my brother and his wife is visiting from Mexico! Haven't seen them since my own wedding, 2,5 years ago. Soo good to see them!

As you can tell by the picture, I finally decided on the small cup with a blue line for mum's cake stand. It was the right decision, mum would have made the same choice, she said. She loved it, btw. :) Today was such a lovely day! Super delish food that dad made, a super perfect present, warm+sunny weather! We took a long walk, picking spring flowers, cowslips. And then we sat outside in the sun until the very last beams. ♥

I made a cake stand!

As I posted earlier, today is my amazing mother's birthday! This is what J and I made for her, a customized cake stand. My mum is a collector of vintage Swedish crockery. The cake stand is made of such. :) I still haven't decided what cup to use at the top, I guess I'll just leave that choice to mum. Which one would you choose? (Not that they're all that different, the one to the right has a blue line which connects to the rest of the piece. The left is of more similar in shape.)

I made this one in mum-colours but I will make one or two for myself, for sure. Turquoise, pink, blue, gold, silver, flowers, retro + awesome = what I set out for.

Today is my mum's birthday!

A Birthday Present

These really are birthday times! My sis-in-law's birthday was this past Thurday, exactly one week after my birthday. This is the present that we gave her on the Friday on her party. Inside is a pink (no kidding) tea towel from Bruka Design and a zinc cake plate. I should have taken som photos but well... the day was stressful to the limit already. I'll see what I can do about pictures.

And for once, I actually enjoy wrapping presents. I bought nice gift wrapping pappers and strings that make it so much more fun!

My 24th Birthday, Present #03 + f i k a .

I made surprise evening fika for J tonight. :) Right-out-of-the-oven fresh vanilla buns, blueberry+raspberry pie with vanilla ice cream and pink lemonade. Such everyday luxury!

The gorgeous cake stands were also birthday presents. Absolutely love them! :)

My 24th Birthday, Present #02

These are many smaller gifts, all of which are themed pink/white/polka dots. So cute! A tablecloth, a couple of pot holders, a microfibre cloth, a microfibre mitt, paper napkins, a gift box and an interior design magazine :) (I'll be spending a few nights ahead with my new magazine... I love a new magazine!)

My 24th Birthday, Present #01

I've had a serious photo shoot here at home, trying to shoot good pictures of all my lovely presents. Now I think I've got them all right. Anyways. :) Here's the first birthday present that I want to show you :) A new pair of Cult Design Changetta candle rings (squares). Glossy silver - so nice, and it goes together with everything!

Today is my birthday. Yay! :) haha! I've had an amazing day with so many friends, loved ones, coming over to celebrate with me. I've got some pictures to show you, but right now I really need some sleep (work tomorrow) so that'll have to wait another day or two. And I got so many lovely presents! I will have to show you them as well, as we go along. Now, I'm going to spend the last 45 minutes of my birthday sleeping :) Thank you all + Good Night! xoxo
