Yesterday J and I went to my parents' house, visiting my little gorgeous sister who's got the house all to herself for a few days. She had made cinnamon buns the day before, an apple shortcake earlier that same day, and when we arrived we made rhubarb+strawberry crumble pies = the best fika ever! :)

Here's the final plate of fika of which very little was left after I was done :) There's rhubarb+strawberry crumble pie with vanilla custard, apple shortcake, cinnamon buns, pear cider and earl grey tea.

Essentially, a G R E A T day! Oh, and for 10 days my brother and his wife is visiting from Mexico! Haven't seen them since my own wedding, 2,5 years ago. Soo good to see them!

As you can tell by the picture, I finally decided on the small cup with a blue line for mum's cake stand. It was the right decision, mum would have made the same choice, she said. She loved it, btw. :) Today was such a lovely day! Super delish food that dad made, a super perfect present, warm+sunny weather! We took a long walk, picking spring flowers, cowslips. And then we sat outside in the sun until the very last beams. ♥

My 24th Birthday, Present #03 + f i k a .

I made surprise evening fika for J tonight. :) Right-out-of-the-oven fresh vanilla buns, blueberry+raspberry pie with vanilla ice cream and pink lemonade. Such everyday luxury!

The gorgeous cake stands were also birthday presents. Absolutely love them! :)

I am sooo bummed out!! I really want these cupcake liners but they are sold out everywhere! Bummer. They're really cute though. I feel a tiny bit better when looking at them. :) Ha!

Would you like a semla?

This is the time of year for semlor (lenten bun? shrovetide bun? cream puff/bun?) Today after our walk, we stopped by a confectionary shop and bought ourselves a couple. Yum! :)

I enjoyed mine with a nice cup of tea. Twinings Earl Grey, naturally.

S'mores Recipe

So, s'mores are kind of like an American campfire snack. But I suppose you'd find them in heaps more places. After my previous post, I received a request for the s'mores recipe. Therefore, voilà! :)

Some more S'more

Did you ever try a s'more? One of my fabulous friends who's american made me my first one and... yeah, "can I have some more?" :) This s'mores kit is just lovely! Plus they should be quite easy to make yourself.
