Rhubarb+vanilla parfait

And here it is! The second time I've made this parfait ice cream, and it's just the best recipe. I'll make sure to post it for you. It's a recipe I made out of two other ones, so I kinda guess one would say it's mine :) Oh, and don't you just looove the pink colour?? I dooo!

the wedding gift

Guess who saved the present? (The shop assistant was clearly a fill-in during vacation times and the gift wrapping looked just like it...) I salvaged the beautiful paper and the string, re-wrapped it (in a correct manner), then added another string (pink lace-like one) and the white wooden heart on which I wrote the couple's intials and our names on the back. Turned out perfect, despite it all... :)

How cute are these??

They're actually more pink, a really gorgeous pink, but I didn't have any better shots so this will have to do. At least for now. Until I get my own ones... Love 'em! As you already know, I love the idea of 1-portion size dishes. I believe these are from Danish Ib Laursen. Same series as the pink pitcher here. I even think that's the pink colour these dishes really have.

ice cream / parfait

Whoa! I'm back (again). Work+nice sunny weather=not so much time for blogging. I've got some things to blog about though! Just got back from a swim with J at one of our favourite spots, this one.
Yesterday (on my day off) I made 4 kinds of parfait. It's really just a double batch but 4 different flavourings. Above is: Strawberry, raspberry (to the top) and blueberry. The fourth kind was simply a mix of the three (not in the picture). Of these three that I have tried, I liked all, I loved the strawberry one. The mixed berry parfait has still to be tested. It's really not so hard and now that I've got the hang of it, I'll be sure to make more. But first - eat the ones that are in the freezer. Carolina, you are most welcome on friday if you can make it! ;)
Oh, and don't you just love my vintage tea cups?? :) I got them from my auntie Barbro and I really really love them! I've got a peak into one of my most frequestly used kitchen cabinets prepared. It kind of represents my style in a good way. :)

Pink Lemonade

There you go! :) This really is an awesome beverage! I love it! Especially the colour :) Actually, I just juiced the lemons, stirred in the sugar (stir well) and then added water and beetroots. Worked just fine! Keeps well in fridge for a couple of weeks. Oh and peel the beetroots before slicing them...

Sister's Graduation Party!

That's what the gorgeous invitation was for! :) Yay! Well done, sis!

A Birthday Present

These really are birthday times! My sis-in-law's birthday was this past Thurday, exactly one week after my birthday. This is the present that we gave her on the Friday on her party. Inside is a pink (no kidding) tea towel from Bruka Design and a zinc cake plate. I should have taken som photos but well... the day was stressful to the limit already. I'll see what I can do about pictures.
Picture: Me, click to enlarge slightly.
And for once, I actually enjoy wrapping presents. I bought nice gift wrapping pappers and strings that make it so much more fun!

My 24th Birthday, Present #02

These are many smaller gifts, all of which are themed pink/white/polka dots. So cute! A tablecloth, a couple of pot holders, a microfibre cloth, a microfibre mitt, paper napkins, a gift box and an interior design magazine :) (I'll be spending a few nights ahead with my new magazine... I love a new magazine!)

And here they are!!

My coconut souffles! They turned out so beautiful! They kind of scared me there for a while as they wouldn't rise, but eventually they did. Yay! :)
As I had some batter left over (only have 4 ramekins), I poured the rest into some old teacups that I have. I did this partly because I didn't want to waste any batter and partly because I wanted to see if the cups were oven proof. They were, fortunately :) The souffles in the cups didn't turn out as good as the ones in the ramekins, though. Still, good to know :)

Cupcake Inspiration 01

So. Cupcakes. Here's some of the inspiration I've gathered lately. Love it! :)
Pictures from weheartit.
I'm thinking somthing like this, pink and white. Only lovelier! :) Ha! My biggest problem though, is still finding the ultimate frosting. I don't want the cupcakes to be too sweet and sugary. I'm working on it. Look forward to the pictures! :)

I wahahahahant...!

I am sooo bummed out!! I really want these cupcake liners but they are sold out everywhere! Bummer. They're really cute though. I feel a tiny bit better when looking at them. :) Ha!

Nail problem

Capturing the actual colour of my current nail polish is virtually impossible. The picture below really is a sorry excuse... Try to picture it in neon... I think I need a new camera. Probably a digital system camera. Haha! Anyways, I added two fun pictures that aren't about the colour. Or anything else, for that matter. :)

Neon nails

This is my collection of Depend nail polishes. I like pink. No kidding. :) I also like black though. And a french manicure. Hm. Whatever. For tomorrow, I'll go for the one to the very left, neon pink, and match it with this outfit. That's going to be niiiice!! :) Pictures? Of course.

After Work Hot Cocoa

A while after I got home from work, J and I made ourselves a thermos of hot chocolate, took a walk down to the water side (right where we live, practically) and had a moment of peace and quiet. Lovely because of/despite the rain. :) Note to self: Do picnicky things more often!

Spring Blossom by DNKY

DKNY Be Delicious Spring Blossom. I really want to try this one. :)

10x

All nails on both hands completed! :) Note to self: Wear nail polish often! It's so much fun! :) Yay!
Picture: Me
Nail polish is #69 from Depend.
Edit: I see now (day after in daylight) that the colour reproduction totally sucks in the picture above... I'll see to that when I get home tonight. If there's enough light that is. The colour is a lot more amazing than this picture conveys.
Edit 2: Here's the best I could come up with... I dunno. No more pink nails for a while, promise! :)

Revlon Plum Seduction // Depend #69

Got this hot tip for a fabulous nail polish, Revlon #917, Plum Seduction. Haven't tried it but just looking at the left pictures makes me love it!
Pictures: To the very left: Karin Wåhlberg, Revlon bottle, me, me.
And, I found another pretty gorgeous shade which is probably as close as it gets, being another brand. Mine is Depend #69 (I know, the last nail polish I wore was also Depend #69... but grey? I don't know, it kind of beats me so don't ask...). Anyways, later tonight I'll probably do all of my nails and then they'll be up on the blog shortly. (Ya, I know, I only did the one for this post!).

One-Dollar Find

This bowl came home with me from Salvation Army's thrift store today. I got off early from work and figured I'd stop by as I generally find something there to cheer me up (when getting off work early on a Friday doesn't quite cut it... rough day at work...) 5SEK/$1...! :)
