Hello again :) Pause over? Play pressed? Maybe, and maybe not. Anyways, I just really wanted to show you a recent project of ours. As well as save it for myself. A concrete top for our tv bench. I love the way it turned out so great! :)

More of this definitely coming up in the future! I've been browsing google image search for a while [read: hours] and now I'm bursting with new inspiration!

Coffee table candle group

Time for some living room pictures, I should think. Our living room has been finished for a while now, since about a week before Christmas. Obviously, these are not the "official after renovation pictures", they will have to wait a while longer. I need to clear out all things Christmas and let spring in before. Anyways, this is our current coffe table and a nice group of candles that I put on it. It's a vintage American trunk that I think belonged to my husbands grandfather's aunt (or something like that). It has travelled across the Atlantic Sea many times.

I like how candle holders + trunk details are the same colour + the heaps of storage that's inside.

Bringing new life

Currently, we are, as mentioned earlier, working on our living room. A few days ago we started renovating our oak parquet floor. After sanding the floor several times to make sure the old varnish was gone, we decided to finish the floor with oil instead of varnish - it looks so much better plus it ages more beautifully. I've got before & after pictures right here. I really didn't even retouch the photos... and if anything, I made the before-picture look slightly better than it originally did :P The floor has now got a whole other depth and luster to it - it looks alive. I'm in love with it! How amazing? Amaazing!

Another thing that makes me love this floor is the structure, how it's layed out. I haven't seen a floor like our's before and love having something that's original.
