that time of year...

which holds such an amazing abundance of flowers and sun and wonderfulness. Mum and I picked lilies of the valley yesterday, at the best spot ever. The lovely scent now fills our apartment. Especially the kitchen. Oh. The kitchen which calls for some serious blogging :) All renovated and new. And perfect. Hang in there...!

Who needs sea view

when you can have flower view?? This is the view out from my parents' living room window. Gorgeous pink-white apple blossom in full bloom. Just amazing.

That time [between bird cherry and lilac blossom] is the time said to be the most beautiful part of spring, in Sweden. Now, that is.

I had to shoot some pictures of my beautiful city, Norrköping. (As I think I happened to promise about 7 months ago...) Spring came and nature exploded! :) Love it! I'm really soaking up every last bit of sunshine I can get a hold of. I'm going to save it for harder days, I say. Experience tells me it doesn't work like that. Unfortunately. Ha!

So anyways, a stroll along the riverside is definitely a hit! :)

Essentially, a G R E A T day! Oh, and for 10 days my brother and his wife is visiting from Mexico! Haven't seen them since my own wedding, 2,5 years ago. Soo good to see them!

As you can tell by the picture, I finally decided on the small cup with a blue line for mum's cake stand. It was the right decision, mum would have made the same choice, she said. She loved it, btw. :) Today was such a lovely day! Super delish food that dad made, a super perfect present, warm+sunny weather! We took a long walk, picking spring flowers, cowslips. And then we sat outside in the sun until the very last beams. ♥

I ♥ sunshine! Today it feels like summer's not too far away, after all. I could sit outside without jackets or sweaters! Yay

Outfit of today. Yes, you read right: of today :) It was such a sunny gorgeous day out but still chilly = long sleaves needed.

Spring+evening+sun

Such a lovely spring evening. 7.30pm. I love how the evenings get brighter and brighter. It's as if I can really see the difference from evening to evening. Picture taken from our living room, through our newly cleaned windows. It's like there is no glass, right? :)

I wahahahahant...!

I am sooo bummed out!! I really want these cupcake liners but they are sold out everywhere! Bummer. They're really cute though. I feel a tiny bit better when looking at them. :) Ha!

Easter Saturday

As I said yesterday, we spent today at my parents-in-law's house. We had a great time with good food, and such sunshine - it really was today that spring came! We sat outside for hours, eating (super delicious) dessert, talking and playing scrabble - without jackets. Love it. :)

This is how we spent part of the Good Friday of 2010. At my parents' house, eating heaps of delish food, playing scrabble... In total, just having a really good Friday :) Next up: J's parents' house tomorrow + evening/night with friends. Yay!

Today, when we were grocery shopping, I walked by a stand with these gorgeous miniature daffodils. Being only $1,50, naturally one had to come home with me. They make me smile :)

It's black

I had no idea black nail polish could cause spring feelings. :) Well... maybe it's just nail polish in general that does that. Spring feelings none the less. I know it's anything but flawless - I applied it just a few minutes before putting on my jacket and heading out. But anyways, right? :) Oh, and no spring feelings outside whatsoever.
