Looks like I'll be able to keep up baking my own bread... At least now that I don't have to work anymore. 8 weeks till my baby arrives! ♥

Bread experiment

Today I wanted to make a new kind of bread but really didn't feel like scanning cookbooks and/or the internet. So I just made my own recipe instead. We'll see if it turns out :)

as of yesterday

I've started baking my own bread again (yay). It's been a while due to lack of energy. I'm not sure I have all that much more energy now, but I'm sooo over store-bought that there's just nothing left to do. And I love it. Yesterday morning I got up early and made fresh bread for a (late) brekkie. This morning I made another batch. Crossing my fingers that I can keep it up! Last night we had strawberries with cream. That was just life-changing (as one of my friends would put it) so I had to throw in a picture :)

It really really really is that good :) Especially with this bread. At least if you're the least into veggies and/or soup. And the best part? It is oh so very quick and easy! 30 minutes tops from scratch. Gotta love it!

Tv-series+bread+nose issues

I've been by myself here at home almost the entire day. J came home for a quick meal at noon. I made him delish veggie soup (no really, a good one) and oven baked pancake (sorry no pictures, next time!). Yummy and easy as. Always a nice combo. I also made a large batch of my (current) fav bread. In between I squeezed in a few episodes of two of my favourite tv-series:

All this while also trying to cure my very persistent cold... wish me luck.

I made freshly baked bread for breakfast this morning. Sooo good! :) A type of rye bread buns, with syrup and raisins. Yum!

Italian Bread

Here's the delicious ingredients I'm using for the bread I'm baking.

Italian tortano bread filled with sundried tomato, mozzarella cheese, dry-cured ham and basil. Yuuum! :)

Book Love

They've arrived! :) (actually last friday...) Tried one pie recipe from "A Piece of Cake" that same afternoon and now I'm baking a bread from "One More Slice". The pie, rhubarb+strawberry, was just heavenly. So good, the best pie ever! :) And I have good hopes for the bread. We shall know by tonight :)

The books are amazing!! :) Not only heaps of exciting recipes and handy tips, but the pictures are incredible. Love love love! :)

Muesli + favourite

I am now done with the honey roasted rolled oats muesli with cinnamon, I wrote about earlier. Here's a quick picture of it, in the jar I though fit for the job :) It tastes great. Will be even better with some greek or turkish yoghurt and some fresh fruit or berries - kiwi fruit, raspberries, peaches... :) While I was at it in the kitchen I also made a new batch of our new favourite bread - carrot bread (who would've thought??) It always seems to disappear so quickly. Anyways. It's 2.30 am here and I am not even tired. Maybe because I slept 12 hours until 11.30 this morning... I will try to get some sleep anyways, up early for a great day out tomorrow! See yous!

Oh well, should I get on with that mountain of dirty dishes and then make some bread? I think so.

I was thinking carrot bread. Definitely a new favourite in our house! :) I really should make the dough first and then go ahead with the dishes, right? I'm off! See yous! ;)

Wonderful Carrot Bread

Yesterday I tried out a new bread recipe, carrot bread. Delicious, as it turnes out. I will definitely make this again. The recipe is available in Swedish at Underbara Clara [Wonderful Clara], which is, by the way, a wonderful, wonderful blog!

Kind of looks like saffron but it's only carrot... maybe the camera made the colour slightly stronger. I don't know.

My 24th Birthday, Present #03 + f i k a .

I made surprise evening fika for J tonight. :) Right-out-of-the-oven fresh vanilla buns, blueberry+raspberry pie with vanilla ice cream and pink lemonade. Such everyday luxury!

The gorgeous cake stands were also birthday presents. Absolutely love them! :)

Banana Bread + Party

Tonight, I made Banana Bread. My very first time yet I found it so easy and it turned out so good! :) And I don't even really like banana bread. It's an Aussie thing for me and so maybe, due to my recent nostalgia, I've started liking it. Or maybe I'm just really good at making them :) Ha! I will definitely post the recipe. Only, there's not much time for blogging this coming week. My birthday is on Thursday and I'm having a small-ish party-ish, that same evening. It's going to be fun but it does take some planning ahead. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, see you next weekend with new posts! :) (On the 1st of May, are you serious??)

Now officially a classic

This is my favourite bread to make. It is sooo easy. And sooo good! :) Yesterday I did it again. The missing piece? Well... that's how good it is.

Isn't this the best looking dough ever?? (After having failed my last two bread baking endeavours, it sure is good looking to me...) Recipe coming up soon (finally...!!)

Naan Bread

I have been baking again, this time naan bread. They turned out so good! Simply delicious! I have to make a bunch next time we're to go to my parents house for Indian food! There were 6 of them to start with but we ate one right away! Yum!
