My 24th Birthday, Present #01

I've had a serious photo shoot here at home, trying to shoot good pictures of all my lovely presents. Now I think I've got them all right. Anyways. :) Here's the first birthday present that I want to show you :) A new pair of Cult Design Changetta candle rings (squares). Glossy silver - so nice, and it goes together with everything!

Coffee table candle group

Time for some living room pictures, I should think. Our living room has been finished for a while now, since about a week before Christmas. Obviously, these are not the "official after renovation pictures", they will have to wait a while longer. I need to clear out all things Christmas and let spring in before. Anyways, this is our current coffe table and a nice group of candles that I put on it. It's a vintage American trunk that I think belonged to my husbands grandfather's aunt (or something like that). It has travelled across the Atlantic Sea many times.

Oh, Christmas Tree!

We just(!) finished decorating our Christmas tree! I'm so happy! It turned out just as great as I wanted it to! Notice the tree stand, what do you think? I've seen it in a few places and we decided to have a go! We like it! (Only it took us forever to get the tree down into that thing...) Anyways, colours are strictly gold+red. And green of course... So, there you go! Now I'm off for a nice winter wonderland walk!

My first first Advent

About a week late, I know, and in time for the 2nd Advent Sunday - But... Anyways! Here's my traditional Advent candle holder decorated with moss and "other things to be found in the forest" (or: "stuff I've got no idea what to call and I don't wanna waste my tyda.se-searches" ...never mind). So last Sunday we got to light the first candle in Advent and for the first time in a place that is our own. That is memorable to me. Here it is, just recently prepared the night before.
And this is Sunday morning - first candle lit. Yay. The candle holder is from a second hand shop and cost me about $2.50 (15 kr). The best mother in the world (my Mum) prepared the moss for me to go creative with -
Thank you!

A Birthday Present

Today I got myself a birthday present. No, it isn't my birthday today, actually I could probably not be farther away - it was 6 months ago to the day yesterday = 6 months till next time. Anyways when it was my birthday last time I got a gift voucher from my dear friends Elisabet&Johan and Aron. And today I made a present out of that voucher! :) This is what I got + 2 cups that I can show later if you want to see them!

The pink things are candle rings (or squares) that are changeable... I can think of at least five others that I wouldn't mind:
Mine are currently placed in my bedroom window and they fit wonderfully! I have wanted these for like ever so, you guys, I totally appreciate it! Love your gift ;) Oh, and
Ps. Our bedroom is now FINISHED and pictures will be up within the next few days. Obviously I'll need to spend some more time decorating but the base is finally done! Yay!

For my tea light candles:

These are my new candle holders. I bought them the other day for 2kr/30 cents a piece at the Salvation Army shop. The observant person will notice that they are old cake molds... And they're perfect for my special tea light candles.

DIG OR DIS #01 - Tea light candle in clear plastic cup

This is SUCH a great idea! I absolutely love how when the whole piece of stearine melts it appears as though there is nothing but a flame in the candle holder. Like in the second & third pictures. Obviously it's more for clear or kind-of-clear candle holders but anyways! :)

They, the kind of candle that is, were hard to find, that's for sure, but I just bought a bunch from Swedish shop & web shop Inredningsboden. So there you go! Now you won't have to look so hard! :) (Unless your one of my international friends... which I know many of you are... sorry. At least you'll know what to look for, right?) Inredningsboden, btw, have real good service and I can really recommend shopping there!
Second picture is from a wedding this past spring and the third picture is how I used the candles in the decorations for my father-in-law's 50th birthday party.

Gotta love variety!

Candle holders are by Iittala, "Kivi".

I can't really decide which colour/colours I like/want the most... Which one/ones would you choose?

Kärt barn har många namn!

I wish there was an equivalent in English to this Swedish phrase. Only, there is none so Swedish will have to do. Anyways, there are many different names for this look on candle holders; silver leaf, mercury, antique silver... No matter the name... I love them! Will have to get myself a few different ones, because even if they look different they still go really well together.
