when I have a garden...

What would you have/do you have in yours that you love? :)

How about a ladder?

I like ladders. I'd really like to have one in my bathroom or bedroom. Probably not in both places though :) Ha!
Pictures are from Betty's torpliv and Spiti, in collage by me.

If I were to win...

Picture: Marbodal
I would probably choose these kitchen shutters - Marbodal Form Vit (but of course with glass uppers). The counter would be oak. And that's probably where the similarities with this pictures ends. It's a great way to see what it could be like though. Visit Marbodal to see what your kitchen could look like!

My (dream) kitchen

Swedish kitchen manufacturer Marbodal has recently introduced their new virtual Idea Studio which is the home of a thousand kitchens. Along with this they host a competition for a kitchen valued up to 30 000 SEK / $4500. Here's my contribution:
Winning a new kitchen would be like... amaaazing! :) We're already planning to redo our entire kitchen so yeah. Amazing is the word. Wanna help?
Vote for me here by clicking SÖK (search) and typing "notesbycecilia". Thank you! :)

About walls and storage

In a future house of mine, I want to have a closet wall like this one. Built-in, that's the way I like it.

About timers

Here's one thing that I will soon have in my kitchen. It's a kitchen timer with a magnet so that it attaches to magnetic areas of the kitchen; fridge, fan... Since I haven't yet decided on what colour to order I haven't ordered one quite yet. My choice is primarily between the two in the second picture. Or perhaps the blue one in the top left corner of this first picture.
What colour would you choose??
Timers are by Dulton and pictures from cosas.se where you can order this gorgeous timer amongst heaps of other nice things [= cosas in Spanish]!

Retro

I'd really like to have this serviette holder (or whatever) standing on my kitchen table! It's so 50's-ish and lovely. As our kitchen turns all white there will be an acute need for brightly coloured, different and fun details. (YAY!)

Blog Wall

= a wall with lovely bright pictures and samples of different fabriks/textures, colours, post-its, whatnot. I just don't know what I could use to attach it to the wall... it's not like I wanna use pins or the likes that would ruin the wall (which would, by that time, be just recently refurbished). And using a noticeboard would kinda ruin the idea. Life's too complicated... :)

A well organized alternative, although, I prefer the whimsical ones...

When can I move in?

This is... hard to defeat, to say the least.
I love all the gizmos and details in bright lovely colours against the white white white, and the contrast white floors/black floors, and the coffee table, and the purple door(!), and the chandeliers, and the... actually, I just love it all!

Coffee Sack Notice Board

Note to self: Make one of these :)
Maybe with something that's magnetic inside? Probably.

Kitchen #01

This kitchen is simply amazing! I love how the cupboards go all the way up to the ceiling! That is a must-have in my future kitchen. The thought of getting rid of the sticky greasy stuff that just draws dust to itself makes me all warm and happy inside! Functionality first.

My big issue

My big issue: floors. Dark? White?
I figured that all floors looking the same, that would be the nicest. All-white or all-dark brown(-ish).
But then, I re-figured and realized that a compromise is alright. Maybe even better than having it all the same.
What would you say?

And so the refurbishing has begun!

Yes, the bedroom wallpaper has officially been torn off/down/apart. Fun! The weird thing is it kinda looks better now than before... not good, more like... we're making progress and that feels great! There's also a hole in the wall where a door will be put in sometime in the future.

S M E G

I would absolutely LOVE having one of these (or two, for that matter) in my kitchen. They are soo nice! (And expensive.) Colour... can't really decide.

I would love

To have one of these on our balcony! It would be absolutely amazing! Maybe a slightly smaller size and with wooded surface areas. Having bbq's out in the sun, sit with friends. Goodie!

Lovely candles

Tin candles, tea cup candles... diy and improvise. Fun! Note to self: Make personalized candles. Perfect for a cozy home or as presents. Or for travelling (the tin one). This is precisely my cup of... candle?

Moving apartments...

All packed up and ready for a new apartment. Here we go!

A vision

Something like this is what I want my balcony to look like [smiling sheepishly]. Well, probably not the size or the bench seat or... it's just more like... the feeling that I want to capture. And the materials and the style of the plants. Colours. Aw, you get it! Just add heaps n heaps of candles and fairy lights and stuff. And a couple of arm chairs and a table. There you have it, a vision.
