such a productive day yesterday

My last endeavour yesterday was to save some frozen strawberries from last summer. Strawberry jam. Let me put it this way: Had I known it was this simple to make my own jam... well, then I would never have bought a single jar, ever. So much better + without the weird additives. And I love the jars! The two in the first picture are new additions to my collection and from my local grocery store. The others are old jars that I bought with jam and that are now filled with something much better :) Beautiful recycling.

For my tea light candles:

These are my new candle holders. I bought them the other day for 2kr/30 cents a piece at the Salvation Army shop. The observant person will notice that they are old cake molds... And they're perfect for my special tea light candles.

Lamp Extraordinaire

Don't I just love this? Yes, I do! :) It's just flippin awesome (as one would say in Oz). What a beautiful way to recycle or reuse tea cups! Beautiful Recycling...

I want to have one for my kitchen table... Check it out here!

Gotta love butterflies

The first image is from here and it pictures a close up on a gorgeous butterfly mobile. The second picture is beautifully recycled plates that can be used as wall-hangings [by lightly] and the third picture is a bride's bouquet(!) from this amazing wedding.

Lovely candles

Tin candles, tea cup candles... diy and improvise. Fun! Note to self: Make personalized candles. Perfect for a cozy home or as presents. Or for travelling (the tin one). This is precisely my cup of... candle?

DIY jar lights

Genie in a bottle... Lamp in a jar... same same different. This is, however, the masterstroke of a genius. Really nice! It is a lamp made out of old jars. Here, specific "mason jars" but I should think the kind of jars matters less. Presumably. Except for the aesthetical point of view, of course. Another DIY project.

Recycled Cake Stands

I see now that I am almost doing a Do It Yourself series, based on my favourites from Design*Sponge. I can not stay off of that website for one day, I just love it! Here, however, is a new diy design, once again for putting cakes on. This is simply old candle holders and nice platters.
